Fill Power

Fill Power

Fill power is a measure of the loft or “fluffiness” of a down product that is loosely related to the insulating value of the down. The higher the fill power the more air an ounce of the down can trap, and thus the more insulating ability an ounce of the down will have.

Temperature Ratings

Temperature Ratings

Sleeping bags are rated to both US and EU Norm (EN 13537) standards. Sleeping bags and blankets without hoods are not subjected to EN testing.

Comfort: At this temperature, a standard woman can sleep comfortably in a relaxed position.
Limit: The lowest temperature at which a standard man will be able to sleep comfortably through the night. This rating is relatively close to those commonly used in North America.
